Being a night owl, mornings are already tough as they are without Daylight Saving Time taking an hour of sleep away and making early mornings look like night. Some of us just aren’t programmed to function early in the day, but we have to force our sleep-deprived asses out of bed to keep up with a society that’s most active between 9 and 5.
I may not be the poster child for good health and fitness, but I can at least say that I’m eating enough fruits and veggies each day. That may not sound like an incredible feat, but you’d be surprised. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, only 1 in 10 adults get the daily recommended servings of fruits and vegetables. Yiiikes.
Originally, I was planning to write a post on my current skincare routine and stick in a paragraph or two about lip care. However, after busting open my dry ass lips biting into a double cheeseburger last week, I figured that lip care deserves its own spotlight.
It’s no secret that I love MUJI. If I could, I would live in one of those MUJI-built homes in Japan. This aesthetically pleasing Japanese retail chain is gold mine of minimalistic and high quality furniture, home goods and, of course, stationery. They also sell basic apparel, aromatic oil infusers and surprisingly tasty snacks! But one thing I didn’t expect them to have, let alone impress me with, is skincare products.
Can we have a moment of silence for all the forgotten cups of hot tea that went lukewarm?
Lately, I’ve developed a terrible and wasteful habit of letting my tea cool down for too long. I’d brew my favorite jasmine green tea, zip through the morning routine, dive into work and completely forget about my drink. It ends up being cold, bitter, and just plain sad – like me as I begrudgingly chug it down.
With summer a little over a month away, maybe cold tea isn’t such a bad thing. I could do without some of the bitterness though, and that’s when I remembered my friend mentioning cold brew coffee. It’s smooth, naturally sweet, and less acidic. Plus, it’s ridiculously easy to make. Sounds like a winner to me! So, why not apply that same idea when brewing tea?
In February, I took my website offline for what was supposed to be a weekend of sprucing up the home page. But as you can tell by the time stamp on my previous post, an entirely different layout and some shiny new graphics, that’s not exactly what happened. Now that I’m back, I want to share something else that I’ve been working on throughout the last month: de-cluttering my digital life!
In this day and age, your digital space is just as important as your living space, if not more. Unless you’re someone who thrives in clutter (tbh – that’s quite remarkable), those 250 unread emails spread across three email accounts and documents titled “asdfhjkl” can hinder your workflow and make life a little more difficult for you. Whether you’re looking to organize your files or clear up space on your devices, here are a few steps to help get you started:
